Developed by the French Splashteam, Tinykin has just unveiled a brand new trailer accompanied by a release date. The 3D exploration and platform game will be officially released on August 30, 2022 on the Nintendo Switch eShop. In the meantime, we let you discover its dedicated trailer below.
Tinykin is a 3D exploration and platformer, inspired by genre classics like pikmine and Paper Marioas well as the Saturday morning cartoons of the 90s (“We put fun in all our shows“). Players are free to explore the environments of the house, each room with its own cultures, civilizations and of course, problems to solve. Turn the music back on in the living room, have a foam party in the bathroom and go in search of the parts of the machine that will allow you to solve the puzzle of this strange world.
Exploring this house is not an easy task, Milo will benefit from many helping hands! Not only are the local bugs (mostly) friendly, but Milo can call on the help of the Tinykin, mysterious and colorful creatures whose reason for living seems to be to help adventurers. Build your swarm and ask them to move objects too heavy for you, build ladders, open obstructed passages and much more.
If the Tinykin are there to help him solve certain problems, Milo is a prodigy of motor skills. Run, jump and leap between obstacles, and deploy his upgradeable bubble glider to cross even wider spaces. Players will also need to master his soap-like board which allows him to surf table edges, unstable rails, lines and cobwebs. When you’re only a centimeter tall, you have to be creative!
PC gamers can peek into the world of Tinykin now, thanks to demo available on Steam. Console players will soon be able to get their hands on the game, before launch, with a demo available June 23 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Switch.
