A Hudson County Superior Court judge threw out a restraining order against protesters who gathered outside County Executive Tom DeGise’s house to protest an extension of the county jail’s contract to federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees. “This is very welcome news and we’re glad the judge issued the ruling that he did,” said defendant Amy Torres, executive director of the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice.
