Nothing’s first Android smartphoneNothing Phone 1 will be officially released on July 12 at a new product launch event in London.
At present, the company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 will be produced locally in India. According to the details shared with the Economic Times by Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Nothing,The Nothing Phone 1 sold in India will be produced in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Manu said the Nothing Phone 1 was the “real” start of the brand’s journey, and it made sense for Nothing to manufacture the Nothing Phone 1 locally, given the importance of the Indian market to the brand.
He further confirmed that Nothing has expanded its customer support in India to over 270 authorised service centres in over 250 cities across the country, thereby increasing consumer trust.
In addition, whistleblower Mukul Sharma revealed that production of the phone has reportedly started at a factory in Tamil Nadu, but the battery will be imported from China.
According to the exposed renderings, it can be seen thatThe machine adopts a four-sided equal-width design, and the screen is in the form of a hole in the middle.Using a straight screen solution, the screen size is 6.55 inches, the resolution is 1080×2400, and the refresh rate is 90Hz.
In other configurations, the phone has a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and Adreno 642 GPU, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage space, and is equipped with Nothing OS based on Android 12.
