With two new announcements during Lego Con, Lego is going all out for nostalgic sentiments to mark the company’s 90th anniversary.
This includes, on the one hand, the new discovery spaceship set (Galaxy Explorer), which is based on the classic space theme.
From August into space
The new explorer spaceship is based on the classic Galaxy Explorer set, which appeared in the USA in 1978 and was sold in Europe from 1979 as the Space Cruiser and Moonbase.
The set at that time consisted of 338 parts and four minifigures. The new explorer spaceship has 1,254 parts and also comes with four minifigures. It will be released on August 1, 2022 at a price of 99.99 euros and is in the Online shop available from Lego.

From space to the castle
The second set, the castle of the lion knights, is a good deal larger and more expensive.
The set is based on the old Castle series and can be set up or folded up. In total, the Castle of the Lion Knights consists of 4,514 parts and comes with a total of 20 minifigures.
The model is the castle set number 6080 from 1984, but the new castle goes a whole step further. The large number of parts is also reflected in the price. The set, which will be released on August 8, 2022 and also in the Online shop will be available from Lego.
