Officially announced in 2020, the new Forza Motorsport revved its engines during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase this past Sunday. Indeed, we had the right to see several minutes captured in game with a running sequence of the PC, in a quality which should be similar on Xbox Series X. However, we did not yet have information on its little sister, the Xbox Series S so far.
Forza Motorsport will be played in 60 fps on the Xbox Series!
On the official support website regarding Forza Motorsport, the developers wanted to confirm several elements. Ray-tracing will be present on the track as announced. We were also able to have confirmation of the resolutions and the targeted framerate according to the consoles:
- Xbox Series X: 4k resolution and 60 frames per second
- Xbox Series S: 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second
Turn 10 therefore chooses to prioritize fluidity with a 60 fps display necessary in a racing game. As a reminder, the title is officially scheduled for spring 2023 and is announced for Xbox Series X|S and PC only. You can find the trailer unveiled last week below:
