Slave Zero X brings biopunk 2D combat action to consoles and PC.
Ziggurat Interactive, publisher of multiplatform retro and modern games, is breathing new life into one of the best-selling titles of the Dreamcast era: Slave Zero X, an exciting new action title set in the same world as the original Slave Zero ( 1999).
Coming to PC and consoles, the all-new game features 2D side-scrolling action as players string together brutal combos as they navigate a dangerous 2.5D world.
“We are excited to unveil Slave Zero X,” said Michael Devine, SVP of Business Development. “The game is a fantastic mix of fast-paced action and combination-heavy combat against a backdrop that evokes a dark mood, and we can’t wait to show more of that in the coming months.”
Developed by Poppy Works and Ziggurat Interactive, Slave Zero X offers fans of the original game a whole new experience.
In Slave Zero X, players don a deadly biosuit and battle the forces of the evil SovKhan. The game features multiple game modes and a variety of futuristic, dystopian city levels to battle your way through.
This new entry into the franchise is based on the concept art for the 1999 game. The original vision of Slave Zero with biopunk flair and HR Giger influences could not be realized due to the budget and development time.
Now, Poppyworks and Ziggurat Interactive are bringing that original vision to life in this fast-paced, hard-hitting character action game set in the unforgettable dystopian world of Slave Zero X.
