The German economy has managed some growth in the current quarter, despite difficult circumstances, according to the country’s central bank. The Bundesbank said in its monthly report that “in the spring of 2022, the German economy is likely to grow slightly.” While the removal of almost all restrictions to contain the coronavirus has provided a boost to the economy, for example in the hospitality industry, high inflation has curbed many consumers’ eagerness to spend their money in the April-to-June quarter, the bank wrote.
