The number of rented e-scooters allowed on the streets of Rome is being slashed while stricter rules are coming into effect regulating who can hire one and where they can park it. The city council on Friday agreed to reduce the number of e-scooter rental providers from seven to three from January 1, 2023. The total number of e-scooters for hire will drop from from 14,500 to 9,000.
