There are currently numerous rumors about the next one Nintendo Direct. While a direct for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 recently took place, many fans are still waiting for a classic multi-game presentation. The journalist Nacho Requena has now commented on exactly this and claims that the focus of the next Nintendo Direct will be on third-party titles. In addition, the presentation should already be June 28, 2022 to be shown. This would confirm rumors that Nintendo is planning a Direct at the end of June. However, it is currently unclear to what extent this could have already happened with the Xenoblade Direct.
What should be shown?
Requena commented on the next Nintendo Direct as part of a Twitch stream. Specifically, the Spanish journalist names Persona as one of the titles to be shown during the presentation. In addition, a game is to be shown that has been available on other platforms for four years.
Based on past rumours, it is suspected that this would be Red Dead Redemption 2. However, no more specific titles were mentioned in the live stream. Accordingly, despite the focus mentioned, there is a lot of room for speculation.
expectations and desires
Currently there are titles like Metroid Prime 4the next 3D Super Mario or to rumored projects like some Zelda remakes practically no information. Therefore, some fans will certainly be disappointed if Requena’s prediction should come true. At the same time, it wouldn’t be the first time that Nintendo has dedicated a Direct to a specific topic.
Apart from the Xenoblade example, there have already been direct presentations in the past that primarily dealt with indie games or Super Mario’s birthday. In addition to Direct, there is currently news all about Nintendo about the very harsh handling of copyright issues, as well as about the possibly questionable treatment of employees.
