The XIII remake was one of those rare games in 2020 that made me say hands off!

Almost two years have passed since then, and in September the new edition is to receive an extensive update that promises many improvements. Will everything be okay in the end?

More than a year in the works

“In order to meet the quality standards and offer an optimal gaming experience, Microids has decided to entrust the development of XIII Remake to the French studio Tower Five (Lornsword: Winter Chronicle),” it says. “We’ve been hard at work for more than a year on a major update for the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions. This update will be released on September 13th.”

“On that day, game owners will receive a free update and be able to enjoy the game as intended. The development studio has overhauled the entire game, from art direction to AI, and added numerous technical improvements.”

More news about XIII Remake:

The promised improvements include 60 fps on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, as well as multiplayer mode for up to 13 players in the remake.

A switch version of the XIII remake will also be released on September 13, 2022. This runs at 30 fps, they say.
