Police were continuing their search Friday for a gunman who opened fire on a Newark street Thursday evening, shooting nine people, and are trying to determine whether the victims were the intended targets or random. The gunfire broke out shortly after 6 p.m. outside a bodega on the 200 block of Clinton Place, and when police arrived they found multiple people hurt, Newark Acting Public Safety Director Raul Malave said.
