The Leica collaboration does not come here to Sweden
A while ago, Leica announced that it will start working with Xiaomi and now the first product is here, 12S Ultra. The most important thing is of course the camera and the sensor comes from Sony and is one inch. We’ve told you about it before here. It is also said that they have worked a lot with the lens itself, which has received a number of treatments.
Leica has helped with the design of the lens and two image profiles have been developed. “Leica Authentic Look” is just that, the image feel from a Leica camera. “Leica Vibrant Look” is the Leica feeling, but a bit twisted for the present and use in the mobile phone.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra plays both in and up in Dolby Vision HDR, which is the first in the Android world. You should also have a new type of image stabilization in the camera which is called HyperOIS.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the first Android device to support Dolby Vision HDR video recording and playback. Dolby Vision enhances your videos with vivid colors, sharper contrast ratio, and richer details, providing you with vibrant and refined image quality. Xiaomi 12S Ultra uses HyperOIS for ultra-stable performance, offering continuous compensation for movement during video recording. The battery is 4860 mAh and of course has support for fast charging. 67W with cord, 50W wireless and 10W if you want to charge other things with the phone. The chip in the phone is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which should be 21 percent smaller, 10 percent faster and 30 percent more energy efficient than Snapdragon® 8 Gen 1, ie without “+”.
The screen is an AMOLED of 6.73 inches that should be able to deliver 1500 nits in short moments. The resolution is 2K, support for P3 color gamut is available and the frequency can be controlled between 1 and 120 Hertz.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Pro feature a 6.73 ”AMOLED color display with E5 luminescent material that delivers a professional level of detail, brightness and color performance, in addition to a peak brightness of 1500 nits, 2K resolution, P3 color gamut, and 1 -120Hz AdaptiveSync Pro. Xiaomi 12S is slightly more compact at just 6.28 ”, and also supports P3 color gamut display, HDR10 +, and 120Hz AdaptiveSync.
In addition to Ultra, there is also a regular and a Pro, which are slightly sadder variants of ultran. But none of these three come here to Sweden.
