Despite the shorter wheelbase, the M7’s interior space isn’t shrinking, with its L113 figure of 422mm, well below the BMW X7 (714mm), the Mercedes-Benz GLS (601mm) and the Audi Q7 (555mm).

L113 is a professional term in automobile design, which is related to the beauty of vehicle shape and the factors of interior space. It is roughly equivalent to the distance from the center of the front wheel of the vehicle to the contact point of the driver’s foot and pedal.

Models with a long L113 distance mean that they occupy a larger space, and the front of the car is relatively slender.
