A few weeks ago, the team that created “The Convergence” mod for Dark Souls 3 announced that they are working on a similar project for Elden Ring. The modders had, moreover, announced that since their Twitter account The Convergence Modin June.

In a recent interview with journalists from the site VG247, Creative Director Paul Gooch shared some insight into the team’s ideas for Elden Ring’s “The Convergence” mod. In his words, modders seek to ” take advantage of the open world » :

[…] We’re toying with the idea of multiple starting locations for different classes, but I’m not making any promises about that at this time. Currently our idea is that there will be 10 or 11 starting classes […]

According to the explanations of the creative director, the mod “The Convergence” for Elden Ring could then introduce subclasses, which it will be possible to unlock via altars, available in said starting places: “ […] These altars are then the subclasses. For example, if you start the game as a Warrior, there will be three altars. One would be for the Gladiator, one for the Berserker and one for the ‘Dreadnought’ […] “.

In addition, on Elden Ring, a peak of difficulty is felt during the confrontation with Margit. Moreover, this fight is inevitable and it is imperative to beat said boss to reach the next area. However, Paul Gooch wants players to experiment and find for themselves the moments when they are truly tested, and this freely:

[…] The player should, in a sense and in some way, be able to create their own ‘choke points’ [comprenez : « pic de difficulté »]. If a player wants to fight the main boss on top of the mountains before Limgrave, they can, although it won’t be easy […]

Obviously, creating a mod of this magnitude will require a lot of work and some development time. So don’t expect to see “The Convergence” hitting the Elden Ring anytime soon. However, as soon as more information is available on this subject, we will not fail to keep you informed.
