Despite the setbacks of the famous Cyberpunk 2077 with its difficult launch and its more or less disappointing support, the title has found its place and has its share of surprises and beautiful moments in play. CD Projekt RED intends to continue its momentum and popularize the franchise through a multitude of projects, whether for the game itself or intended to expand its universe.
Cyberpunk under the eye of an expert studio
The next surprise on the way is the animated series cyberpunk slated for release on Netflix next September. Produced in collaboration with the Studio Trigger which is at the origin of colorful and energetic productions such as kill the kill or Little Witch Academia, this series promises a sparkling interpretation of the already very special universe. Today, Netflix does us the honor of unveiling the opening of the anime that everyone is waiting for, and the result is artistic to say the least.
We find the bright colors characteristic of the studio’s productions, as well as a thoughtful and eye-pleasing composition. Although this credits is almost composed of text only, the presentation and animation are such that the gaze is instantly captivated. The first images of the anime unveiled last month boded very well, and Trigger’s expertise is also found in this catchy credits through its music and artistic direction.
Big names have worked hard on this project to deliver a work worthy of the franchise. We then find Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) as chara designer and animation director, as well as Akira Yamaoka on the soundtrack side, who we know for his work on the Silent Hill license. We can’t wait to discover the streets of Night City enhanced by the talent of these Japanese artists. There’s not long to wait since the anime will arrive in September on Netflix.
