In 2017, Hugh Jackman officially played X-Men fan favorite Wolverine for the last time in “Logan: The Wolverine”. Since then, the question has been in the room as to who will be his successor. Because even if there was always a glimmer of hope that Hugh Jackman could be persuaded to appear again, a successor has to be considered.
How about Jan “The German Jackman”?
If you take a quick look at Jan Schick’s Instagram profile, aka “The German Jackman”, the resemblance is striking at first. The German entertainer has been earning his money as a Hugh Jackman double for several years. “The German Jackman” can be booked as a show act for functions and events via his website. Jan Schick advertises himself as the “Top Double No. 1 in Europe” and is available for film and television as well as for radio shows, as a welcome act on the red carpet and as a surprise guest. The resonances that you get in the guest book found on its website, however, are of a mixed nature.
Actual successor for the role of Wolverine already found?
Just a few days ago, the rumor mill surrounding Jackman’s successor flared up again.
The trigger for this was “Kingsman” star Taron Egerton, who was in a Conversation with the New York Times confirmed that he had discussions with Marvel executives surrounding Kevin Feige, which appear to have been about Wolverine.
If you ask fans which successor they would like to see in the role of Wolverine, Taron Egerton is the favorite for many. But at the moment it remains to be seen whether Marvel can actually bring itself to fill the role that is so closely interwoven with Hugh Jackman and whether Taron Egerton can also convince Marvel management.
