In the first half of 2022, Russian car sales were 370,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 56.9%.
Before that, Russia had tried its best to maintain car production, and Russian officials now allow local automakers to ignore emission standards,Can no longer equip their vehicles with airbags, ESP, ABS and other important safety kits and even seat belt pretensioners,The relaxation of these production standards will continue until February 1, 2023.
In the future, Russian automobile standards may shift to Chinese standards. In early June, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade revised the technical requirements for fast charging facilities for electric vehicles. Now this kind of charging station must meet the Chinese standard GB/T, while the European CCS standard and the Japanese CHAdeMO standard are listed as optional.
The report pointed out that China is the world’s largest producer of electric vehicles, so 70% of Russia’s electric vehicles will use Chinese charging stations in the next few years.
