Have you ever called a phone number that was featured in a movie or series? Sounds strange, but sometimes even the fictional characters of the series get involved. Stranger Things fans have discovered that the Surfer Boy pizza place number is real in real life.
The fourth season of StrangerThings has already come to an end for many fans of the series, but viewers later discover more and more Easter Eggs that the producers have hidden. There are not only allusions to other series, films and things from pop culture, the secret messages can also be found in real life.
In Season 4, viewers meet the “Pizza Dude” Argyle (Eduardo Franco). He delivers pizzas with his Surfer Boy Pizza Van. His van has the number 805-45-PIZZA or the number 1 (805) 457-4992 written out in full. Fans from the US called there and found that actually Argyle answers the phone. A taped announcement is played to callers:
“Surfs up! Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle. We make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy except our pineapple, which comes out of a can. Oh, can you hold dude?” After that, a whole series of other conversations follow. It’s not the first time the producers of Stranger Things have used this nice anecdote.

Already in the third season, viewers saw Murray’s phone number (618-625-8313). Again, this number leads to a real life tape announcement: “Hello, you have reached Murray Bauman’s apartment. Mom, if this is you please hang up and call me between 5pm and 6pm as discussed before, ok ?”
“If this is Joyce, Joyce, thanks for calling, I’ve been trying to reach you. I have an update. The point is, well, it’s probably best if we talk in person. It’s no good or bad, but it is something.” Which Easter Eggs have you already seen in Stranger Things? We look forward to your comments.
