That’s it for new content for Heroes of the Storm: Blizzard is finishing development for the Moba released in 2015 for PC. Bug fixes, balance updates and hero rotation should continue.

No more new content

In a blog post marking the seventh anniversary of the Blizzard moba, the developers explained that they want to treat Heroes of the Storm like eSports long-running favorites StarCraft and StarCraft 2 in the future. The real-time titles have not received any content updates for quite some time and are only kept alive with service updates.

Heroes of the Storm players must now also be prepared for the fact that there will be no more new content for the moba. This also means that no new heroes or fresh visual content will be available in the in-game store. However, the developers continue to promise bug fixes, balance patches and hero rotations. The Heroes of the Storm development team was downsized in 2018. In addition, all eSports events have been cancelled.

In the next patch, Heroes of the Storm players will receive the rare Epic Arcane Lizard skin as a thank you.
