After updating its $35 5G plan last month with a 5GB hotspot, Verizon is back today with an all-new plan that offers the most affordable price for unlimited data, including 5G coverage. Verizon Welcome Unlimited is a new entry-level plan priced at just $30 per line per month with four phones.
Verizon today announced a new Welcome Unlimited offering in a press release:
“Welcome Unlimited opens the door to more people who can connect to the network that more Americans are counting on at a very competitive price,” said Manon Brouillette, CEO of Verizon Consumer Group. “Today, we’re helping customers ditch their wireless carrier and join Verizon at an entry-level price when they bring their own device.”
Here are the details:
Welcome Unlimited includes unlimited calls, texts and data on Verizon’s nationwide 5G network. Includes unlimited access to Verizon 5G coverage, but throttling can occur in congested areas and the hotspot is not enabled. fees Up to $240 per line Verizon e-Gift Card when activating your own 4G LTE or 5G phone on a Welcome Unlimited plan – up to $960 for a family of four
Opinion – Welcome! Unlimited Differences
It’s great to see Verizon offering an even more affordable entry-level unlimited plan that includes 5G coverage. Welcome unlimited starting at $30 per line with auto pay and four lines $5 below the unlimited 5G Start plan which costs $35 per line.
The two main differences between Welcome Unlimited and 5G Start are that you don’t get a 5GB hotspot and chances are your speeds will be limited in busy areas with the $30 Welcome Unlimited.
Another difference is that with the Welcome Unlimited plan, all of your lines are included in that plan. In contrast, with Verizon 5G Start, 5G Do More, 5G Play More, and 5G Get More, you can mix and match plans on different lanes. As with 5G Start, you won’t get access to Verizon 5G UWB, the fastest version of 5G with Welcome Unlimited.
However, if you really want the easiest unlimited plan and want Verizon’s reliable and fast network, Welcome Unlimited looks like solid value.
