To coincide with the start of the Netflix series “Resident Evil”, a trailer has been released that gives fans a broad introduction to the plot.
Starting today, Netflix subscribers can experience a new Resident Evil adventure, initially consisting of eight episodes. A trailer, which you can watch below these lines, provides further insights into the series.
The Netflix series centers on Jade Wesker, who fights the infected throughout the storyline while also working to ensure those responsible for the global apocalypse are held accountable.
Two periods
The “Resident Evil” series on Netflix is dedicated to two periods in which, on the one hand, the 14-year-old Wesker sisters Jade and Billie uncover “world-destroying secrets” when they arrive in Raccoon City. Added to this is a timeline that takes place over a decade later, showing a scenario where the earth is populated by monsters following an outbreak of the T-Virus.
Just a few weeks ago, showrunner Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”) emphasized that the “Resident Evil” series considers the events of the video games to be canon. Simultaneously was insuredthat the latest work will not deliberately violate the established rules of the template.
The first season of the Netflix series consists of eight episodes, which are named as follows:
- Welcome to Racoon City
- The devil you know
- light
- change
- home videos
- Someone’s little girl
- parasite
- revelations
