Capcom just released Resident Evil 2 Remake on Xbox Series and PS5, that the publisher announces that the game has just passed the bar of 10 million copies sold.

Many of us have recently immersed ourselves in the horrific adventures of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield with the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake. Capcom tells us indeed that 10 million copies of the game (box and digital) have been sold worldwide. As a reminder, Resident Evil 2 Remake was released for the first time on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on January 25, 2019. Followed by a second release on Xbox Series and PS5 on June 13.

Capcom is clearly having success with the re-release of titles from resident Evil. Indeed, the remake of the second episode had already reached 5 million copies sold in 11 months on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Its new release on Xbox Series and PS5 has undoubtedly boosted sales to pass the milestone of 10 million copies. Finally, take out the resident Evil is rather prolific for Capcom. In addition to reaching a new audience that has not experienced the old versions, it sells twice as much as the original game. Resident Evil 2 (1998) sold 4.69 million copies during its run (including ports). The game was already a success in its time.

Capcom has not finished talking about its license resident Evil. From today, you can watch the new Netflix series, soberly called resident Evil.

As for games, Resident Evil Village will have an extension on October 28, The Winters. This will add the Shadow of Rose DLCa new 3rd person mode and additional content for Mercenaries. And finally, Resident Evil 4 Remake lands on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC in March 2023.
