Intel has published its first benchmark results for the Intel Arc A750 and the company believes that the card is faster than the RTX 3060. In Cyberpunk, the lead should be 15 percent while Fortnite only gives a six percent profit.
Intel’s European launch of graphics cards is approaching. Intel has previously promised a launch during the summer. Now we finally get details of what looks to be the company’s first card for our market. Intel Arc A750 is now shown in a new demo, where it is compared to RTX 3060.
Beat RTX 3060, in selected games
It is the former technology journalist Ryan Shrout, who now works with communication for Intel, who shows a system with Intel Arc A750. In the video, he shows when he starts Cyberpunk’s benchmark and talks about a result in 1440p resolution and High settings with an average result just below 60 Hz. It should be 15 percent better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. In the same chart, Intel shows a lead of 17 percent in F1 2021 and a lead of six percent in Fortnite.
Drivers optimized for DX12
Shrout points out that the numbers will not look the same in all games. Read between the lines: RTX 3060 will be better in some games. This is not surprising as we have already seen great variation between different game titles with Intel’s hitherto China-exclusive A380 cards. Intel has confirmed that one is mainly due to Intel prioritizing optimizing DX12 drivers right now and that, for example, DX11 is therefore a bit behind. Tests have also shown that Intel’s new graphics card, at least the A360, is heavily dependent on the Resizable Bar. This can mean that performance can vary greatly between different systems.
The Intel Arc A750 will probably be launched together with the A770 and A780 which are based on the same graphics circuit as the A750 but have a wider memory circuit and more enabled execution devices. We have still not seen benchmarks for the A770 and A780 but previous rumors have indicated that there will be competitors to the RTX 3070.
A launch in the summer will be at the last second for Intel, which will probably have time to get its cards out just before Nvidia and AMD’s expected launches in the autumn.
