2 year old graphics cards now available (almost) at RRP …

Background: graphics card prices

Calendar week 28 made an effort to fill the notorious summer slump with life. In addition to Amazon’s shopping spree festival, which you could hardly miss, there were fresh bits of rumors about the upcoming graphics card series Geforce RTX 4000 and Radeon RX 7000, which will make every PC gamer’s mouth water. But why wander into the distance when the good is so close? The prices for graphics cards have been falling steadily since the beginning of 2022, after PC hobbyists and gaming fans had to endure a tough phase with sometimes horrendous prices for some high-end models. This development is producing interesting blossoms – such as the fact that a graphics card at a recommended price (RRP) is considered cheap and offers below the RRP seem downright bargain-like. And yet there is a grumbling in the stomach area that you are buying two-year-old technology and that it is not cheap after all. The fact is: Because the supply of graphics cards on the market is recovering and, in addition, the crypto mining crash is causing many miners to sell their used GPUs, consumers can currently buy the corresponding hardware at a lower price than they have in years. You can read bluntly what the PCGH editors have to say about this in the picture gallery. And what do you think, dear readers? Team Buy or Team Wait? Discuss with us!
