We recently told you about the game’s release XEL on Nintendo Switch, available on the eShop since July 14, 2022. Given its current availability, many people have had fun offering gameplay videos of the game in its hybrid version, for our greatest pleasure. As often, we have many reasons to be a little afraid of a port to our favorite console, so many disappointments have been on this side over the years.
So what better solution than to check for yourself, through a video capture of about thirty-seven minutes, if the title in question is running well? We you spoiler a little, the finding is not incredible. the framerate has a lot of trouble keeping upthe textures seem not to load correctly, while modeling leaves something to be desired. Sorry.
Gameplay of XEL on Nintendo Switch
In XEL, you play Reid, a young woman who is stranded on an unknown and exotic planet. Accompanied by her side-kick Chap, Reid will have to use her power allowing her to jump through space and time in order to unveil the mysteries of the planet and discover the bond that unites her there. The title is intended to be freely inspired by Zelda seen from above, but with modernized combat combining attacks, dodges and parries used at the right time as well as the use of gadgets of all kinds. Everything is set to music by Gidon Wolffcomposer and sound designer on the game.
