According to the latest supply chain news,Apple will start mass production of the iPhone 14 series next month, but they are currently in difficulty due to shortages of some materials.

At present, the biggest headache for Apple may be memory, because Samsung has problems in mass production of related accessories, which makes it difficult to supply.

Prior to this, the news given by Ming-Chi Kuo also showed that some iPhone 14 panel and memory suppliers have recently experienced supply problems, but the impact on the upcoming mass-produced iPhone 14 is limited because other suppliers can fill the supply gap.

It also revealed that it wasn’t surprised to see Apple’s hiring and spending slow during the recession, but the latest survey shows that there have been no major changes to Apple’s hardware development plans for 2023 so far, and the foreseeability of device orders remains unchanged (at most. 18-24 months).

Regarding LPDDR5, Samsung is almost the only supplier in the third quarter of this year and can meet the increased production demand of the iPhone 14 Pro. Micron and SK Hynix may ship as early as the fourth quarter, the former’s certification time started later, and the latter has encountered quality problems.

Regarding panels, Samsung and BOE can largely fill the initial supply gap caused by the appearance problems of LG Display’s panels. LG should fix the problem soon.

Supply chain sources also reiterated that the previous rumors that the first batch of iPhone 14 orders had been cut were completely rumors. Not only did they not cut, but Apple is still adding orders for the iPhone 13 series, which is really a boom in production and sales.
