PSG’s Kylian Mbappé will appear on the cover of FIFA 23, as he has done for the past two years – although this time he is not alone. EA has another cover star up its sleeve for the football franchise, making it a world premiere.

FIFA 23: New cover star alongside Kylian Mbappé
PSG star Kylian Mbappé continues to grace the cover of FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, but the French striker is no longer the sole star – for the first time in franchise history, women’s football is also featured on the international covers: Sam Kerr of Chelsea FC is featured alongside Mbappé on the cover of the Ultimate Edition.
In the 30-year history of the FIFA series, there have been previously only in 2016 with Alex Morgan (USA) and Christine Sinclair (Canada) Women on the cover of the game, however the versions were only available in North America.
Leaker announces release date
Well-known industry insider Tom Henderson announced in an article that EA gamers would officially give FIFA 23 a first look in July. According to his sources, which he does not name, the game will also be released in the third quarter, on September 30, 2022, appear. (Source: exporter)
FIFA Ultimate Team: Stars instead of chemistry
FIFA leaker Weaver – FUT already posted on his Twitter account at the end of May that the team composition in Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 23 should be revised. Instead of the well-known chemistry ratings for players from the same leagues, teams or nations should a star system be introduced – Teams should therefore be able to achieve up to three stars. Whether and how exactly this will be implemented remains to be seen.
EA Sports FC: Football franchise is about to make big changes
After FIFA 23, the decade-long and exceedingly successful cooperation between FIFA and EA end – at the end there was some bad blood between world football’s governing body and the publisher, mainly due to differing ideas about the financial value of the naming rights.
As EA has already announced on its own website, in July 2023 the project EA Sports FC to start. Although the publisher waives the FIFA naming rights, it retains the licenses for over 19,000 players, 700 clubs and 30 leagues. (Source: EA)
