Lego is not at its first attempt with the world of video games: the brand has recently benefited greatly from a collaboration with Nintendo and more specifically the Super Mario franchise to offer models that have been very successful.
Today the firm wishes to surf not only on the world of video games, but also on nostalgia and thus announces a new model: the Atari 2600.
Lego thus presents a kit which will make it possible to reproduce the famous console of the 1980s which had a colossal success in its time and which remains one of the legendary consoles which have shaped the video game market.
Note that this is the Atari 2600 model “S” from 1980 which is reproduced, which is distinguished from the first model from 1977 by the presence of only 4 buttons.
The kit consists of 2535 parts and will propose to assemble the console brick by brick in order to obtain a representation consistent with the original with dimensions of 33x22x8cm. The console joystick is also included, as is a set of 3 cartridges: Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede as well as mini dioramas associated with each title.
A hatch on the front will display a small diorama very inspired by the 1980s.
It should be noted that this is only a decorative model and that it will not be possible to connect this console to your television… And this despite its particularly high price: the kit will be available from August 1st next one at the price of 239.99€.
