EA’s Origin Store has almost all DLC for Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 for free.
Free: Mass Effect and Dragon Age DLCs
BioWare RPG fans should definitely grab this now. Because in EA’s Origin Store there are currently tons of DLCs for free.
Specifically, it is about the PC games:
reason for that is the abolition of the currency BioWare points. This relic of the past was sorely needed back then to buy the DLCs for Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Just as EA is, there were the BioWare points only in packs of 800, so that you can’t pay the exact amount, but always need one pack more and therefore points remain. But as I said: That’s part of the past.
Because in an email to its customers, EA writes that the currency from October 11, 2022 no longer used in the Origin Store. Also means: Most of the DLCs for BioWare’s sci-fi and fantasy series are now available free of charge. All you have to do is download them through Origin.
In the same email, EA states that any content purchased with BioWare points will remain playable.
Want to relive Shephard’s entire adventure with better graphics? Then grab the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect:
Still subject to a charge…
Apparently, the Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening expansion is still only available for cash.
What also remains chargeable are the multiplayer DLCs for Mass Effect 3. But don’t worry, because on the one hand the online mode is not very popular and on the other hand you can spend your remaining BioWare points on Mass Effects loot boxes.
Wow, this is the first and probably the last time I will encourage people to buy loot boxes.
Important information at the end: Owners of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition are of course already in possession of the DLCs. But for everyone else, and for players who haven’t played the Dragon Age expansions yet, get yours now!
