Pope Francis has landed in Canada for his six-day trip, his first since the bodies of mistreated Indigenous children were discovered near Canadian institutions run by the Catholic Church. The pontiff’s plane arrived at Edmonton airport, the capital of the western Canadian province of Alberta, around noon on Sunday (1800 GMT).
