One of the iPhone assembly plants will be closed for a week-long quarantine. The reason is a new outbreak of coronavirus infection, as reported by Bloomberg.

Apple will release the iPhone 14 without a SIM card, but not for everyone
According to the publication, authorities in the city of Shenzhen in southern China have transferred a hundred local enterprises, including Foxconn’s iPhone factory, to a closed work schedule for at least seven days. The so-called “closed cycle” of work means that only employees living on the territory of the enterprise are allowed to work at the plant and it is forbidden to leave the plant.
Foxconn representatives said that despite the introduction of quarantine restrictions, the plant is still operating normally. However, quarantine still increases the load on the supply chain, with which Apple already had difficulties, according to rumors.
