TechCrunch writes that Meta has initiated the shutdown of the app Tuned, an app that was supposed to make life easier for couples in various ways.
The idea behind Tuned was that couples would be able to manage their daily communication via the app while nurturing their relationship in different ways. The app did not contain any directly revolutionary functions and most of Tuned can probably be managed just as well via other social media apps. Primarily, the idea seems to be that couples would have a dedicated app where they could only communicate with each other without accidentally sending messages, pictures or anything else to another contact, something that might sometimes happen with traditional social media apps.
Meta writes in a message sent to Tuned’s users that they should save their data from the app if they want to keep it. On September 19, Tuned will shut down completely.
