US athletics queen Allyson Felix and British triathlon Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee are new appointments to the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission. The Afghanistan-born cyclist Masomah Ali Zada from the refugee team at last year’s Tokyo Games and Canada’s Summer and Winter Olympic star Oluseyi Smith have also been nominated, the IOC said on Wednesday.
