New Jersey Turnpike Authority commissioners agreed to pay $1 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit brought against an off-duty State Trooper who struck and killed a 14-year-old Westfield girl as she crossed a street. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to settle the suit brought by the family of Terry DiFalco, who was struck near Central Avenue and Wyoming Street in Westfield and pronounced dead at the scene on the evening of March 4, 2017.
