According to a report by the Bloomberg website, GTA 6 will have a female protagonist for the first time. However, some fans don’t seem to like this fact at all. With their mostly unobjective criticism, however, they are quite wrong.

We have already summarized the new details about GTA 6 Bloomberg has found out for you in this article. The innovation of a female main character, as Bloomberg called it, is a topic of conversation. While the majority of fans are happy to finally get some solid information about GTA 6, a small part seems to have been waiting deep in theirs “Go woke, or go broke” folder to be able to grab and etch around on YouTube or social media.

The tenor is: Rockstar is suddenly developing a female main character in order to bow to social pressure and thus destroy the game, the series and probably also the planet. Fortunately, such YouTube videos are discussed critically in the GTA Reddit.

The whole point is that the basic assumption behind the “criticism” alone is wrong. (Apart from the fact that common sense will suffice.) Playable female characters already existed in the very first GTA, there were a total of four to choose from and the Gameboy Advance port of part 2 also offered female main characters. Also, GTA Online has had the option to play as a female character for almost a decade. So it’s not all that new and sudden. The whole “criticism” is simply based on ignorance.

Various leakers and insiders had already suspected it, now there is another reputable source that confirms the assumption: In GTA 6, the players slip into the role of a female protagonist for the first time. A complete novelty for the series, which certainly offers new possibilities.

The woman is said to be a Latina. She represents one of the two main characters, whose story to the Bank robbery story by Bonnie and Clyde is ajar. But that’s not the only detail revealed by the Bloomberg article.

According to the latest information and statements from some developers should the work on GTA 6 continue for at least two years – a release in 2024 seems to be within the realms of possibility at the moment.

The map of GTA 6 was originally supposed to be much larger and eclipse every previously released GTA game. However, as development progressed, the studio decided to go stronger for the time being to focus on a specific play area inspired by Miami. Vice City fans should be particularly pleased with this news.

After the release, however, the GTA 6 map should gradually change. New cities should find their way into the game, which will provide further missions and activities for the players. In addition, there should be more interior areas of buildings to explore compared to its predecessors.

GTA 6 is currently in the works – it’s no longer a secret. However, it is still unclear how the long-awaited successor to action is.

Provide an indication that the game is progressing 70 new positions at Rockstar. This means that 227 positions are now open at the GTA developer.

Although GTA 6 is not mentioned, some job descriptions explicitly mention working on an open-world game. For example, an Associate Dialogue Designer for Dialogues in a huge open world searched. (Source: hit marker)

GTA 6 is Rockstar Focus

Finally there is something official from Rockstar about the development of GTA 6. Since the studio’s statement that they are actually working on a new part of the series, Rockstar has remained silent – but now we know: The studio is really going full steam ahead with the development.

The following paragraph can be found in a blog entry that deals with the further update history of GTA Online and Red Dead Online:

“In recent years we have more and more development resources into the next part of the Grand Theft Auto series. We understood more than ever that we need to exceed player expectations and that this next installment should be the best it can be. And that’s why we’re in the process of making some changes to the way we’re supporting Red Dead Online.”

In other words, Rockstar has recently been pulling more and more developers away from other projects to use in the development of GTA 6. That should please the fans of the well-known game series. Finally, this ensures that the development of the next part is progressing rapidly.

For fans of Red Dead Online, however, this is a particularly bitter pill, because the online mode of Rockstar’s Western GTA is thus pushed to the sidelines:

When will GTA 6 appear?

There is no official release date for the next part of the GTA series yet. Although many rumors and leaks claim that GTA 6 is not too far away, we currently assume that the next part of the series at the earliest in autumn 2024 will appear.

But with a bit of luck we’ll get it first gameplay scenes as early as 2023 and more official information about the successor to Rockstar Games served on the silver platter.

Where is GTA 6 set?

There is also a question about this no concrete answer at the momentas Rockstar is still keeping this and much more information secret.

However, the most reputable source to date assumes that the main part of the game is set in Miami. A feast for all Vice City fans!

Some fans suspect that the new part is almost a Best of all past games could represent and all cards combined. Other sources claim Rockstar might even shrink the map compared to GTA 5 and RDR 2. On Reddit, a player also presented a specially designed map that is based on southern Florida and was well received by many fans.

Also in the room is the theory that the game world in the new online mode of GTA 6 could change at regular intervals – like Fortnite.

But what should be almost set in stone: The next GTA part will most likely play somewhere in the USA again.

Who do we play in GTA 6?

So far we only have information on this question from leaks and rumors that are circulating through the net. Probably the most plausible theory so far has emerged from a particularly large Reddit leak:

According to this in GTA 6 we will again slip into the role of three protagonists: Ricardo, Kacey and Rose. Ricardo and Kacey are said to be classic criminals who earn their living with all sorts of illegal activities, while Rose as a police officer is on the other side of the law and may even have to take action against the other two characters.

A woman could never be played in any other GTA part before. These changes would certainly bring a breath of fresh air into the game.

For which platforms is GTA 6 released?

That should depend mainly on the release date. Should GTA 6 appear within the next 5 years, we can safely assume that the open-world hit will also be released for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X in addition to the PC. A port for the last-gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony, i.e. Xbox One and PS4, is absurd.

What remains open, however, is whether GTA 6 will appear directly for the successor to the switch. However, as of this writing, we’d assume Rockstar’s next GTA game wouldn’t end up on Nintendo’s next hit console.
