Receiver/returner among preseason candidates for versatility honor Nebraska junior wide receiver Trey Palmer was named Thursday to the 52-man preseason watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, which goes to college football’s most versatile player. Palmer transferred to Nebraska during the offseason after three years at LSU, where he played in 28 games and totaled 41 receptions for 458 yards and three touchdowns.
