The German Football Federation (DFB) said in Sunday it is investigating “alleged attacks” from spectators on Wolfsburg players after their 1-0 cup win at Carl Zeiss Jena the previous day. The DFB said there were reports that some Wolfsburg players were “allegedly abused and physically harassed by Jena spectators on their way to the team bus.” Fourth-tier Jena have apologized for the incidents which were first reported Saturday night, including video footage. Managing director Chris Förster said that identified offenders could face criminal charges and stadium bans.
