At the end of last week, Annapurna Interactive presented its highlights for the coming months in a 25-minute online show. We think there are a few exciting titles. First, we’ll briefly introduce you to the five most interesting games – at the bottom you’ll find the video of the full Annapurna event…
As mentioned in our wonderful The Pathless Solar Ash Maquette News, US publisher Annapurna Interactive is on a roll: the girls and boys have had their hands on some high-profile indie titles, e.g. The Artful Escape, Sayonara Wild Hearts, 12 Minutes, Hohokum or even Journey (PC). They were recently joined by the pussy Stray and Neon White, soon to be followed by the cool June releases Cocoon and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes…
But here we go with Flock:
The cute little multiplayer co-op game doesn’t have any concrete details about the gameplay, but the motto “Gather your friends around you” in combination with the sugar-sweet look already makes you want to see the finished product. Dashing around in the droll nature and inviting sheep and other animals to travel with you – that sounds charming. Incidentally, none other than graphic artist Richard “Hohokum” Hogg is responsible for the design. Flock is to be released for PC, PlayStation systems and Xbox consoles (including Xbox Game Pass).
Let’s continue with Thirsty Suitors, which admittedly isn’t a new announcement, but hasn’t gotten much of the spotlight so far: The weird mix of role-playing game, cooking show and reaction test mixes skater interludes with Indian culture and a good pinch of romance. The game by Outerloop Games (Falcon Age) does not yet have a specific date, but it should be released on all common platforms. Here comes the trailer…
Now it’s getting cute again. So probably. Because there is no information about the exciting cooperation between Annapurna and the Japanese game maker Keita Takahashi, not even a game name – just this very, very vague teaser trailer. Takahashi-san not telling you anything? The gentleman invented Katamari Damacy for Namco, and also developed quite a lot of strange stuff after that…
