Also in August there are new games to discover in the Apple Arcade line-up. Including: A highly anticipated sequel, explosive multiplayer action, modern Tamagotchis and a charming point-and-click.

Apple’s subscription service spares no effort to lure gamers in front of their smartphone screens. So it happens that two of the four new additions in August are so-called Arcade Originals. These appear exclusively in the range of the Californian group from Cupertino.

Apple Arcade: These are the new games for August

This time Konami is the first to launch the Amazing Bomberman exclusively for Apple Arcade. The action-packed offshoot for the mobile market combines music and explosions in a stylish way: while we try to blow up our opponents, the labyrinth-like levels change the layout to match the rhythm. We are allowed to challenge friends and strangers in the online arena to give us exciting battles on the smartphone. Amazing Bomberman is out August 4th and is only available with an Apple subscription.

The second exclusive title will follow on August 19: Jetpack Joyride 2 from the developers at Halfbrick Studios is the sequel to the much-praised first part. Step into the shoes of Barry Steakfries once again to soar through the skies in another fast-paced adventure. The second part of the cult classic awaits us with revised HD graphics, fresh animations and unprecedented mechanisms that should provide a completely new gaming experience. Our task is to unravel the mysterious mysteries of the scientists once again and thwart their insidious plans.

New Category: App Store Legendary Games

Additionally, a fresh category launches on Apple Arcade in August, and two “App Store Legendary Games” make their subscription debuts. For one, we have My Talking Tom+. From August 12th, developer Outfit 7 will make the hearts of all pet friends beat faster: we are adopting a virtual companion that needs to be kept happy from now on. Together we explore his world as we pet, poke, dress and even talk to “Tom”. Of course, as with a real pet, we have to take care of Tom’s wants and needs so that he doesn’t get sick from us. If we take Tom with us on trips, we can capture the memories in a photo album.

At the end of August, another charming, cute and purely visual point-and-click adventure is waiting for you in Apple Arcade’s offer, in which we can devote ourselves to exciting sci-fi adventures on our smartphone screen. In Love You to Bits+, starting August 26th, Amanita Design takes us on a journey through the universe where we have to assist the inexperienced astronaut Kosmo in his search for his robotic girlfriend. After a terrible accident, their parts are scattered in the vastness of space. It is now up to us to put them together so that the two can be reunited despite all obstacles. We explore strange planets full of aliens, solve space-time puzzles and collect hidden objects. As you complete each level, you’ll learn more about Kosmo and Nova’s heartbreaking love story.
