A few hours ago, on the night of August 5, 2022, the pre-patch for WoW: Wrath of the Lich King landed on the Burning Crusade Classic public test server. You can level Death Knight and Inscription. The Scourge invasion has not yet started.
Blizzard developers have rolled out the WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch to the Burning Crusade Classic Public Test Server (via WoWHead)! So you can level up the death knight or inscription there, try out the class changes or visit the barber. In this article we had you summarizes the most important innovations of the pre-launch phase.
What about the Scourge invasion?
Not yet active on the PTR is WotLK’s pre-launch event, which gives our heroes the ultimate reason to lead the Horde and Alliance armies to Northrend. The world event acts like a pimped version of the Scourge invasion from patch 1.11which led us to Naxxramas at the time.
- First, strange boxes appear in Booty Bay, through which a dangerous plague spreads to the outer regions. Later, containers with contaminated cockroaches that were transported further ensure that the cities are no longer safe either.
- Players who become infested will turn into zombies over time, with new abilities that allow the plague to spread further.
- Argent Healers can heal the infection before you transform, but these become less and less available as the event progresses.
- Flying necropolises appear in the sky, from which attacks on the living are carried out. Even the capitals are attacked.
- The event is garnished with various quests. You can also steal Necrotic Runes from defeated Scourge units, which can be used to purchase items from the Argent Quartermaster.
- In Karazhan you can challenge the new boss Prince Tenris Murkblood during the event.
- You can find more event bosses in old classic dungeons.
You can find more emotions and anecdotes in our Wrath of the Lich King Scourge event recap. Now that the pre-patch has landed on the PTR, it won’t be too long before the zombie fun begins. We will keep you up to date! Are you excited for the pre-patch event?
