Ryzen 7000: MSI confirms release dates

The last secrets about Ryzen 7000 are slowly being revealed and when it is released, most of it should only be confirmed. MSI was now even free, whether intentional or not, to confirm the release date that had already been published by speculators. The rumors should be confirmed. The press embargo will therefore fall on September 13th, and the sales embargo on September 15th, at 3:00 p.m. CET/CET. A product announcement is also scheduled for August 29 at 2:00 p.m. CET/CET. For summer time, Germans have to add an hour each time.

There were also other places, let’s call them rumours, about performance data from Ryzen 7000. A screenshot from Twitter user HXL is doing the rounds, which suggests a significantly increased bandwidth for the Zen 4 cache. 1,494.8 GB/s reading and 1,445.7 GB/s writing are read out together with 10.1 ns latency, which is around 50 percent more than with the last generation. For comparison, Alder Lake has 21.8 ns. It was probably measured on a Ryzen 9 7900X for the L3 cache. In addition, there are the doubled in size L2 caches.

This leaves few questions unanswered until the release. Of course, the technical data has not yet been officially confirmed and the final prices are still missing, but you basically know where the journey is going. The launch portfolio consists of four models, one of which is the Ryzen 7 7700X instead of the 7800X. Smaller Ryzen and models with V-Cache will follow later. It stands to reason that the Ryzen 7 7800X will also or only come as a 3D version.
