In 2017, AMD started its comeback in the CPU market with the Ryzen processors based on a new microarchitecture called Zen. Since then, several optimized successor generations have appeared and AMD is once again at the forefront. You can prove how familiar you are with the Ryzen era with the first episode of PCGH Quiz Time.

Before the release of the first Ryzen generation in spring 2017, AMD had no chance in the CPU market for several years and was only able to score points with products based on the Bulldozer microarchitecture compared to Intel in the low-budget segment or with fast integrated graphics units. However, the newly developed Zen architecture turned the tide, so that AMD has since been able to gain market share in both the desktop and server markets and is not only very popular with PC gamers. In the meantime, Ryzen 7000 including DDR5 RAM support is just around the corner, which appears for one CPU socket and thus heralds the farewell to the previous desktop platform socket AM4. On this occasion, we would like to invite you today to put your knowledge of AMD’s Ryzen processors to the test in a quiz. Have fun!
