Apple may delay the release of the new iPhone 14 due to the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. It is reported by GSMArena.

Apple is a major customer of the Taiwanese company TSMC. It makes the chips at Pegatron in China, where the iPhone is assembled.

China has imposed a series of sanctions against Taiwan and developed new regulations. In particular, any mention of “Taiwan” or “Republic of China” in shipping documents is prohibited. Because of this, some electronics from Taiwan may be returned.

Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on August 2. According to her, the politician flew to the island to demonstrate US support for democracy in Taiwan.
