Mobile games revenue accounted for more than half of Activision’s revenue in the second fiscal quarter of 2022.
Mobile games brought the publisher more sales than PC and console games combined.
That’s how much the publisher earns
According to the latest annual report, Activision Blizzard made approximately 634 million euros in sales with PC and console games in this quarter. Sales of mobile games are around 816 million euros.
One reason for this is of course the acquisition of mobile developer King in 2016, but Diablo Immortal also appeared in the period covered by the last financial quarter.
After all, Diablo Immortal was also able to counteract the falling user numbers for Blizzard games and caused a slight trend reversal, at least for the time being.
After 22 million monthly active users in March 2022, the number was back at 27 million at the end of June.
