Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball FighterZ on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the ultimate version thanks to a big novelty. The announcement came during EVO 2022 which was won by the reigning world champion, Frenchman Wawa.
EVO 2022 is over and it will have been very emotional, especially for Dragon Ball FighterZ fans. Because in addition to attending an anthology final, Bandai Namco arrived with a nice surprise: a PS5 and Xbox Series version which itself has a big surprise in store.
Dragon Ball FighterZ announced for PS5 and Xbox Series with rollback netcode
Without giving a release date, Bandai Namco made official be at work on a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of Dragon Ball FighterZ with the developers at Arc System Works.
More than a technical improvement, this version will include the netcode rollback to have more successful online matches. A novelty only accessible from a PS5, Xbox Series X | S or a PC. But on this platform, it will be an option. If that is not suitable, you will indeed have the choice to stay with the current method of “delay netcode”.
Wawa triumphs at EVO 2022
Marwan Berthe, known as Wawa, a 20-year-old prodigy, once again distinguished himself very well during this competition. Currently world champion after winning the Dragon Ball FighterZ Championship Finals, he emerged as the big winner of EVO 2022. And what a final!
One match away from losing the title he had come to seek against the American “Nitro”, Wawa completely turned the situation around to his advantage. “I can’t believe I did it!” EVO champion with my favorite character (note: adult Gohan), the announcement of the rollback and the return of the SonicFox and Go1 goats?? Bless be DBFZ. Also thank you all for your support” did he write about Twitter.
It’s happening below to review this grand finale in full. Even if you are not a fighting game or DB FighterZ player, you will enjoy this magnificent show!
