Available since June 2017, Tekken 7 is preparing to welcome various free updates, before the arrival of a new episode.
One last burst of content before Tekken 8
Indeed, Bandai Namco took advantage of Evo 2022, a great event focused on fighting games, to highlight the next updates of one of their flagship titles via a nice trailer. Thus, we were able to discover that this free upgrade will strive to offer new adjustments and balancing, with “new tactical possibilities” seeming to include new combos and movements.
But the arrival of these few improvements is clearly not the main announcement to remember, since the Japanese publisher also took the opportunity to tease the arrival of Tekken 8. Indeed, at the end of this same video, we can revel in an iconic scene from the franchise showing Kazuya carrying Heihachi’s body to the edge of the cliff, until the image turns into a brand new model of the character, along with the caption “Prepare- you ! “.
It is therefore a safe bet that fans of the saga will no longer have to wait very long before being entitled to new information about the next opus. Tekken 7 being released more than five years ago in our region, it would actually be quite logical to see the development teams at work on a more current project.
As a reminder, the next update for Tekken 7 will land on August 17, knowing that the game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
