Title favourite Malaika Mihambo faces a race against time to compete in her home European Championships in Munich next week after the German long jumper revealed she had tested positive for the coronavirus. Mihambo, an Olympic and double world champion, was quoted by her management Tuesday as saying it was a “mild” infection but that she had felt tired and not trained for 10 days. “The quarantine and the symptoms have unfortunately made an ideal competition preparation impossible,” she added.
