Today, the two cast members who will slip into the roles of Henry and Sam in the HBO series “The Last of Us” were not only announced. Additionally, HBO confirmed two all-new characters to appear in the TV series.
As announced a few weeks ago, we shouldn’t expect the HBO series The Last of Us to start this year. Instead, it is now expected to be released in early 2023.
In addition to this announcement, we received further interesting details about the TV series today. As IGN reports, fans of the games can look forward to seeing the two characters Henry and Sam again. It is also said that Henry will be played by Lamar Johnson, while his younger brother Sam will be played by Keivonn Woodard.
Those familiar with the games will recall that Joel and Ellie met Henry and Sam in Pittsburgh, where they worked together to hold their own against the infected and human enemies alike.
Two new characters join the party
The second of today’s announcements is for two new characters making their debut on the HBO series The Last of Us. Here we have Marlon and Florence, played by Graham Greene and Elaine Miles. New characters Marlon and Florence are described as a married couple struggling to survive alone in the wilderness of post-apocalyptic Wyoming.
The story of the first season of The Last of Us will be based on the first video game of The Last of Us and will focus on the fate of Joel and Ellie. In addition, the creators would like to take the opportunity to present you the world of “The Last of Us” from an alternative point of view and to tell completely new stories.
