FINALLY ! This is what many players of Halo Infinite having heard about the arrival of the Flights Tests of the cooperation mode. Absent from the game’s release, it will soon be tested via the system Halo Insider and 343 Industries just gave some details on how it works. Furthermore, the studio has revealed that the current plan is to start this phase of testing during the week of July 11!

HaloInfiniteCoop

A progression for every Spartan

Rather than having a whole game based on the first player, Halo Infinite focuses on the progress of the group. Thus, co-op progress will affect each player’s saves. Concerning the missions, only those completed by all the members of the group will be indicated as such. If player 1 has completed a mission and player 2 has not yet, if these two Spartans are playing co-op, the mission will be marked as incomplete until player 2 completes it. Each collectible or upgrade obtained will be spoken by the two players after the co-op session.

To start a co-op game, all you have to do is create an internal group in Halo Infinite, before each player chooses the save they want to use and which will progress during the session. We also learn that cross-play will be fully supported, so owners of Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC will be able to meet on the Halo Zeta. Even Cloud Gaming allows you to put on your MJOLNIR armor with friends The games will be hosted on dedicated servers from Halo Infinite.

Co-op will be available for up to four players in the party. These will embody all the Master Chiefunlike former Halo who offered to play, for example, the Arbiter. However, everyone’s freedom will not be total: each Spartan will have to stay within 1000 feet of the others on pain of dying for desertion. A warning will be sent when you reach 800 feet away. New achievements will also be included, such as killing an enemy with an antigravity hammer while you are a passenger in a vehicle driven by another player.

Replay the missions, soon possible!

One of the major flaws of Halo Infinite was not being able to replay the missions: it was thus mandatory to create a new save to redo a significant passage. This feature will also be in test at the same time as the cooperation ! To take advantage of it, simply select a completed mission on the map, select “replay” and the game will ask you for the difficulty and the skulls to activate. The armor improvements obtained in game will be conversed even when returning to the first missions, enough to discover them completely differently.
