Another round of fixes for “No Man’s Sky” arrived! Leviathan missions now run without errors!
On the warm Monday night, Hello Games released a new update for “No Man’s Sky Update” released. You can find out what the reason for the unscheduled patch is in this article.
The new “No Man’s Sky Update 3.98‘ is available for download now, for all platforms. The list of patch notes isn’t quite as extensive as usual, but there are still a bunch of fixes.
It fixes many issues from the recently released Endurance Update, for example there were issues with Leviathan specific missions. There are also visual adjustments and other bug fixes.
No Man’s Sky Update 3.98 Patch Notes
- Fixed a visual bug that could occur when the player was standing on very steep ledges or railings.
- Fixed an issue that could cause some Leviathan-specific missions to persist past the end of the expedition.
- Infestation Nexus missions now correctly direct players to the target planet.
- Fixed a number of visual issues with freighter engines.
- Improved the messages during combat at Sentinel Pillars during Nexus missions.
- Fixed a number of collision issues in freighter bases.
- Fixed a case where freighter rooms with ladders could prevent powering other parts in the base.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from building in another player’s Freighter Base, even with the correct multiplayer permissions.
- Fixed a collision issue that resulted in players getting stuck in the Freighter Bridge teleporter while jetpacking.
- Fixed an issue that caused some NPCs to give dialogue from the wrong quest on first interaction.
- Starships can no longer be purchased or traded in while your current ship is being salvaged to avoid issues if your current ship’s inventories and stats have been moved.
- Placing a ladder in a Freighter now automatically adds a room above it.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in NPC ship labels in Pirate Space Stations having the wrong pilot name.
- Fixed an issue that prevented freighter upgrades related to frigate speed and fuel consumption from working properly.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Vy’keen face shape customization from being available in the Appearance modifier.
- Fixed an issue that prevented organic frigates from making contact when spotted in uninhabited systems.
- Fixed an issue that prevented summoning a freighter immediately after acquiring a new organic frigate.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in the Frigate UI displaying incorrect information (e.g. “Meat Status”) after viewing the Leviathan.
- Improved the visibility of the ‘Feed’ slot for bio-frigates.
- Fixed a number of minor visual issues with Freighter base parts.
- Fixed an issue that caused unwanted bases to appear around certain Nexus Mission locations.
- Fixed an issue that could result in Nexus Missions being unable to start with Cadium enabled.
- Improved the visuals of the freighter feeding room.
- Two additional Freighter base parts have been added: an interior staircase and a set of exterior stairs.
- Fixed a number of shadowing bugs on freighter outer bases.
- Fixed a rare case where players would not receive a dream antenna from a fleet mission after fully destroying a mission or adjusting the system clock.
- Fixed a number of PlayStation 4 specific crashes.
